Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Welcome to the FAQ page for Emily Brooks Millar. If you’re curious about artwork, exhibitions, orders, or how to work together, you’ll likely find your answer below. If not, feel free to get in touch.

- Who are you and what kind of work do you make?

I'm a mixed-media painter and illustrator whose work explores themes of morality, wellness culture, and self-perception through a distinctive blend of acrylic, oil, and crayon. My style has been described as “bubblegum feral” as it leans into the illustrative and unsettling. I often build a universe around recurring characters, within the imagined world of 'A Broken Apple’.

- Can I buy your work?

Yes! Here are some links to different pieces I’ve created:

Original paintings

Drawings & Editions

Books, Accessories & More

If something you saw online or at an exhibition isn’t listed, you’re welcome to email me to inquire about its availability.

- Do you take commissions?

Occasionally. I take on a limited number of commissions each year, depending on my current workload and whether the project feels like a good creative fit. If you’re interested, please send a message outlining your idea, budget, and timeline, and I’ll let you know if it’s something I can take on. This could be private or public work.

- Where can I see your work in person?

I exhibit regularly in the UK and internationally. Upcoming and past exhibitions are listed on my resume. You can also subscribe to my newsletter for updates on shows, pop-ups, and new items- it’s my only form of social media.

- Can I feature your work in a publication or write about it?

Absolutely! Please contact me at ebm@emilybrooksmillar.com with details first. I’m happy to provide high-resolution images, a bio, artist statement, or any other information you might need.

- I’m a curator, gallerist or creative collaborator, can we work together?

I’d love to hear from you. I’m always open to thoughtful collaboration and showing work in new spaces. Please send a message with your proposal or idea.

-Do you ship internationally?

Yes, I ship worldwide. Shipping rates and estimated delivery times are calculated at checkout. Please allow extra time for international customs processing. International orders may also be subject to additional local taxes upon delivery.

- Something arrived damaged. What do I do?

Please email me within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage and your order number. I’ll do my best to fix, replace or refund the item.

- I have a different question.

No problem! You can email me anytime at ebm@emilybrooksmillar.com, or use the contact form on the site.
